Today we talked about the price of using WordPress. No, it’s not a long sob story about how the wife and kid left us! Those trailer park days are behind us now!
The topic came out of a Facebook discussion around a plugin release. It got us thinking about our expectations as “professional” builders of websites. It got us thinking about new DIY’er entering the premium WordPress market. It even got us thinking about the needs of plugin developers. After all those yachts don’t look after themselves.
What is a fair price for a plugin? Does it depend up on the market size, the support requests, how innovative it is, or do the developers just guess?
Join us as we guess wildly at what developers’ motivations are for their pricing as well as what we think is a fair price!
